The First Modern Collodion “Reenactor.”
Ira Currant worked in the Ansco Photographic Company Research Lab. In the 1960s he convinced the Ansco Company to let him set up a darkroom wagon and demonstrate the wet collodion negative process at Civil War reenactments advertising the company‘s connection with photography during then American Civil War. Ansco was a combination of the Anthony and Scovill companies, major American camera and chemical suppliers in the early days of photography.
